My account/notes:

Strong smell of smoke when we entered the room, blegh. However, they did supply us with an air freshener which we used in combination with opening the window for a bit (onto a fantastic view of a construction site). The dvd player didn’t work with the dvds we gave it (region 4) so we ended up spending the night watching shows and things on my laptop.

Not sure about the quality of soundproofing in LaLa… I was certain I could hear noises every now and then from the room either above or below us, and I could definitely hear the cleaners scurrying about outside on occasion. Made me feel a little guilty that my sister and I had been watching the ‘Lano & Woodley’ farewell tour and hence laughing hysterically the entire night.
